Joey: What’s happening fellas? Let’s get started…how did the band name come about?
Andy: Hey! Great first question haha. The band name came about as we were all hanging out at Casey’s house one night. We were trying to come up with a band name that fit our genre of music and also served as a metaphor for what the band means to us. We chose Fourth Quarter Comeback because as musicians, we’ve all been in previous garage-bands growing up, and we all view this as possibly our last chance to do it right.
Joey: Your debut EP Finders Keepers is fantastic! What can your fans expect in 2012? Is there a new EP in the works?
Andy: Thanks so much! We really appreciate it when we get feedback on our music. Just having people take the time to listen means a lot. We actually have a lot planned for 2012, it should be a really big year for us. We’re going to be working on an acoustic EP over the next couple months that should be out early next year. We’re also gonna to be going on our first tour at the end of February which will be a lot of fun. Aside from that we’re going to start writing for our next big EP and just tour as much as possible.
Joey: Who does the majority of the writing and message do you want your music to convey?
Andy: The music overall is written by all of us together, although the lyrics for our debut EP came mostly from Andy and Ben. Simply put, we want our music to make people happy. All the songs we’ve put out so far have been really up-beat and high tempo, and we try to make it hard for the listener to not bob their head while they listen. Our first EP is definitely a lot of feel-good pop rock, and we really love how it came out.
Joey: What three words best describes your live shows?
Andy: Fun, Energetic, and Candid
Joey: What two bands would be part of your dream tour?
Andy: Hmmm, it’s hard to speak for everyone on this one, but we’re all obviously huge fans of Blink-182 and The Starting Line. I think it would be a pretty incredible experience to tour with them.
Joey: Who’s the practical joker of the band? What’s the funniest joke pulled off?
Andy: Haha Ben is definitely the funny one. Not so much practical jokes, but he is very witty and comical. We all have a bit of a strange sense of humor but we like to have fun most of all, and that’s one thing we try and have evident in our live shows.
Joey: Fellas thanks so much for your time! Any final words or shout outs?
Andy: Thank you for the interview! We’d just like to thank anyone who has ever taken the time to listen to our music, it really means the world to us. Aside from that, you can stay up to date with us at http://www.facebook.com/FourthQuarterComeback or by following us on twitter @4thQuarterBand. We hope to see you all at a show someday!
