Yesterday the Roje and I had the pleasure to meet up with hip hop artist Hopie for an interview and to throw back a few beers. I came into the interview already a fan of her music and very intrigued to know more about this Hastings Law School graduate. I left being even a bigger supporter of not just her music but Hopie the lady. She signifies what we stand for here at Joey Voodoo and that is individualism, a passion and belief in your art and most importantly not being swayed by society and stereotypes. I am convinced that this girl is on course to having a very successful music career…and in the unlikely event that things don’t work out, well just watch yourself you just might be going up against her in a court room.
